The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords
March 30, 2003
Recently Nintendo has made a great addition to the famed Zelda series. When rumors started to fly about the first Zelda game to include multiplayer support, many fans began getting nervous. I had doubts myself, but be assured – whether you’re a Zelda guru or completely new to the franchise (I’d say especially if you’re new), this title for the Game Boy Advance is a must have! Read more

World Series Baseball 2K3
March 30, 2003
A long time ago, on a console system that is now far, far away (Sega Saturn), the World Series Baseball franchise was without a doubt the best representation of ì?erica’s Pastimeî ¯n any console. But when the series made the jump to the ill-fated Dreamcast, Sega’s baseball series went to the dark side, as the game pulled a Florida Marlins-esque collapse ñ §¯ing from the top of the world to almighty crap (no manual fielding Ö what!?). Thankfully, with its move to the Xbox, the series made the first steps in returning to greatness with last year’s World Series Baseball ñ ¶¯id of any 2K attachment in the title to represent a new hope. Kung Fu Chaos
March 29, 2003
Kung Fu Chaos has been a long time coming for the Xbox. The game was shown last year at E3 as a major title for the system and seemed to be getting all the backing a game could ask for. Hyped as “the next big thing on the Xbox, the game has finally arrived on retail shelves. So, is this a martial arts masterpiece that deserves a hallowed spot in your collection? Or is it the next game you’ll use as a Frisbee with your dog? Read more
GBA SP
March 28, 2003
I remember how excited I was when the GBA was released. This was the next generation handheld that could provide us with SNES quality gaming on the go. The first title I ever plugged into the system was Castlevania Circle of the Moon. While I tried to progress and ultimately beat the game, I gave up because the screen was so hard to see. The only way I could play it is if I used a worm light, which was bad on my eyes and put a glare on the middle of the screen, or if I positioned the system underneath a good lighting source “just right.” The lighting problem caused me to spend a lot less time with the system than I anticipated. Knight Rider: The Game
March 28, 2003
Whoa, a wave of 80′s nostalgia just flooded my head. All of a sudden, words like “Micro-Jammers” and “Super Pursuit Mode” have meaning again. Of course this time it was me at the wheel of digital KITT, and not my old KITT match box car. Knight Rider is a new game from Davilex Software that follows in the footsteps of such other recent games as The Dukes of Hazards. They bring back familiar sounds and settings to breathe life into some very typical genres. Read more
Bandits: Pheonix Rising
March 24, 2003
Bandits is the game where the Dukes of Hazard meet Mad Max. It is set in a crazy drought ridden future where you live by your skills as a driver and scavenger. Basically, the player builds a car from the ground up at which they can drive through 22 different missions or at each other in decent multi-player mode. Bandits: Phoenix Rising follows Rewdalf and Fennec as they wind their way through semi-arcade craziness. You follow their adventures as you scour the lands around Jericho City. Read more

Kung Fu Chaos
March 24, 2003
I like the Xbox. While some claim it is an overpriced paperweight and DVD player, I have enjoyed quite a few of the games released for the system. And with Xbox Live, you have a service that neither Sony or Nintendo can touch. But there is one thing Microsoft has failed to do consistently–make good First Party titles. If you look at each of the big three in the console world–Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony, you will see something that Nintendo and Sony do that Microsoft fails to understand… make consistently good First Party titles. The latest title to be given the “why the heck did MS release thisâ€? is Kung Fu Chaos. Read more
MLB 2004
March 24, 2003
Considered by many to be the best baseball game on the PlayStation, this franchise has been strangely absent from the PS2 lineup. It is no secret that 989 Sports has gone through some tough times as of late. With delays to their PS2 games, the decline in quality to their recent releases, and an incredibly crowded market, unless 989 can get their titles back to the level they were at during the early PlayStation days, the days of this company could be numbered. Can anything save them? A renewed emphasis on quality has seen this year’s lineup of titles to be much better than in recent memory. And despite a few problems, the first PS2 version of MLB 2004 is a solid outing. Read more
