Halo 2 to charge for online play?

We all know that the biggest game Microsoft will ever release in the short history of Xbox is the upcoming Halo 2. This title will also probably get most Xbox owners to join Xbox live so they can play against their friends online. However, rumors are spreading across the Internet that Microsoft and Bungie will include a mode called Clan Play. This will allow users to join or create a clan. The Xbox Live servers will then keep track of all of your stats, allow your clan leaders to make custom logos on their armor, customize the colors, and have unique flags. Read more

This year marks my seventh trip for the annual E3 event. Every year, journalist, developers, publishers, and gamers who manage to sneak in, journey to LA to see what is new in the gaming industry. This Summer: Get Paid to Play Video Games

Nintendo is calling out to teens this summer who are facing one of the worst job markets since the end of World War II. To help, Nintendo is recruiting 48 teens to participate in The Ultimate Summer Job. The participants will showcase new Nintendo games at concerts, sporting events, and other major events. They will be paid $100 per day in their three day work week. Nintendo is also going to take 6 of the 48 participants and make them part of their Nintendo Street Team who can compete for a $40,000 bonus. More Donkey Konga

While we have yet to experience Nintendo’s rhythm and music based title, Donkey Konga, gamers in Japan will soon get more as Nintendo has announced they will release Donkey Konga Disk 2 for the GameCube on July 1 in Japan. No word yet on if this disk will be included in the version that is heading to the US later in 2004.
