N3: Nightly News Narration - Spybox 720, thatgamecomapny is Broke, Wildman Canceled?, & More

Kotaku got an exclusive insider telling them more about the next Xbox, Xbox 720--codenamed Durango, that will require the new Kinect 2.0 to be plugged in and calibrated for the new console to function. This means that Microsoft will have a camera and microphone that will be active every second you have your new Xbox online. Call me a crazy but this sorta disturbs me as someone who values his privacy.

The game showed almost a year ago, Infinity Blade: Dungeons, alongside the iPad 3, has been put on hold as Epic Games and Impossible Studios, who were part of Big Huge Games and Kingdoms of Amalur, are no longer working on the project and no longer a part of Epic. Last August, Sean Dunn the Impossible Studios Studio Director said:
"Epic Games has truly embraced this stellar collection of developers who were displaced by the closing of Big Huge Games They have looked after us with complete care, giving us all the tools and resources we need to make a lot of gamers happy."

M3: My Morning Musings - PS4 Price, Wikipad 7", Ouya and Double Fine, & More

Reports are coming out, in Japan, that Sony's PlayStation 4 will be retailing over ¥40,000. In dollars, that equates to about $428.00. Does this mean we will see the PlayStation 4 coming out at $399.99 in North America for a 2013 release? With the PS3 running at $499.99 and $599.99 at launch, $399.99 would probably be the most expensive they could get away with. Still, I miss the days of consoles launching no more than $299.99.

N3: Nightly News Narration - Witcher 3 Coming, Ouya At Retail, & More

Game Informer Digital has spilled the beans on an announcement that was supposed to take place on February 5, 2013. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is well into development for next-generation platforms and PC. The Witcher 3 is said to have a world more than 20% larger than Skyrim and be completely open world using the REDengine 3, announced last week. The world is so large, it will take around 40 minutes to go from one side of the world to the other on horseback!

N3: Nightly News Narration - MS Scared of PS4, Ni no Kuni Name, Skyrim PS3 DLC, & More

An unnamed "Microsoft Insider" has a comment in regard to Sony getting to debut the PlayStation 4 first: "Victory will go not to those who make the most noise, but those who make the most impact. The war won't be won by producing the most powerful system."

Sounds like Sony has really scared people at Microsoft and they will be scrambling to recover from Sony debuting their system first.

M3: My Morning Musings - PS4 & Xbox 720 Confirmed for 2013? & More

The Wall Street Journal reports that the next PlayStation will be revealed on February 20, 2013 and be launched this holiday season. They also state that Microsoft will reveal their next console this Spring--months after the PlayStation announcement, and will be launched this holiday season as well.  Looks like we will have two new consoles going toe to toe this year.

More thoughts on Microsoft and Nintendo's responses to the new PlayStation coming soon.
