Nippon Ichi Software and NIS America are teaming up yet again on the best Strategy RPG franchise the world has ever seen. In their annual press event last week, NIS America revealed that Disgaea 2 D2: A Brighter Darkness will be making its debut in North America in the Fall of 2013. The title, which ships in Japan next month, will once again be exclusively on the PlayStation 3 platform.

Sony's biggest, internally active, First Person Shooter franchise, Killzone was shown off at the PlayStation 4's First Reveal Event. Like Killzone 2 was used to show off the PlayStation 3, Killzone Shadow Fall wowed and amazed with awesome visuals on the screen. What is better, Shadow Fall has been confirmed to be a launch title for the new PS4 by Guierrilla Games Senior Producer Ter Heide.

Sony is ushering the next generation with their very own new IP. Knack is a action game that has Mark Cerny, the Lead PS4 Architect, as the Game Director. Bringing his expertise from past action/platformer games like Jak & Daxter, Crash Bandicoot, and Ratchet & Clank, Knack gives the control over what would appear to be a Computer Generated movie from Dreamworks or Disney Pixar.

Jonathan Blow took the stage at the PlayStation 4's First Reveal Event, in New York, to show off his new game--The Witness. Developed by Blow and his indie Development House Thekla Inc, they are planning on delivering an awesome Puzzle game that moves the genre in a new direction.

At the PlayStation 4's First Reveal Event, in New York, Blizzard surprised everyone in attendance when Blizzard came on stage to reveal that Diablo III is coming for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Frank Pearce, Co-Founder of Blizzard said this:
"Now that Diablo’s out of the bag, I just want to say that we’re stoked to be bringing Diablo III over to PlayStation. We got our start in console games, and a bunch of us, myself included, have been looking forward to this day for a very long time.
 

As Sony ushered in their last console, PlayStation 3, Sucker Punch made the most of the new hardware by creating a new franchise. Gone were the days of them developing new adventures for Sly Cooper and his crew. They had moved on to inFamous. With the PlayStation 4, they still have plenty to do within the world. At the PlayStation 4's First Reveal Event, Sucker Punch showed off inFamous Second Son.

Dishonored is a non-stop thrill ride and we had the chance to find out why in a live demo of the title shown behind closed doors during E3 2012. As the second part of the Bethesda presentation, Dishonored showed us stealth, assassinations, all out action, magical skills, and more over our time with the title. The best part is, unlike most other titles, this one will be in your hands this year!

As our journey through E3 2012 continued, we ended up at our appointment for Square-Enix. Although we enjoyed seeing Tomb Raider, I quickly made my way over to the Hitman Absolution live demo where we got a chance to take a closer look at Level 9 in the game. At this point in the story, Agent 47 has gone rogue and is looking for a lady named Victoria. We learn that a character named Lenny has info on Victoria and Agent 47 needs to get that information. Unfortunately, getting to Lenny isn't going to be as simple as dropping in to say hello.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 brings Developer Treyarch back to the helm of one of the most successful, if not the most, franchise of all time. The title was used as a showcase piece for Microsoft to end its 2012 E3 Press Briefing and is one of the standout titles of this years show. We sat down for a more in-depth demo session at the Activision booth. They treated us in style with really comfy leather chairs that made me feel like I was playing at home. 

Skylanders was a game that nobody really saw becoming a success. Plastic toys you put on a cylinder base to make them come alive on your television screen? Adults didn't get it but the kids did. Some see the release of Skylanders as the start to a next generation toy market. Activision is hoping to continue the magic and with the release of Skylanders Giants. The villainous Chaos is back from the first Skylanders and he is desperate to still take over all of Skylands. Fortunately there are the Skylanders standing in his way to stop him.
