Visual Concepts, the same people responsible for the NFL 2K and NBA 2K series', brings you a wild and hard-hitting soccer game in Sega Soccer Slam. Although known and well established in the sports genre, Visual Concepts does a great job of putting together a game that is a far cry away from being a sports sim. The game draws you in with a healthy mix of modes, characters, and immersive arcade-style game-play.

When I think of a motorcycle game the one thing that comes in to my mind is the "classic" Excitebike for the original NES that came out in 1984. Well, 18 years later the sport of supercross has become huge and with the popularity of a sport comes the popularity of the video game. And thanks to Acclaim Max Sports, supercross comes back home to where it all started on the Nintendo Video Game system. So without further ado, put on your helmet and kneepads as we take a look inside this week's review of Jeremy McGrath Supercross World.

Extreme-G originally appeared on the Nintendo 64 in 1997 to counter Sony's Wipeout series. However, it lacked all of the elements that Wipeout brought to the table and was ultimately a lackluster title. The one reason for its success was that it was on the Nintendo 64--a software-starved platform. Several years later, Acclaim brings the third incarnation of the series to gamers. Unfortunately, it fails to make a lasting impression.

Agent Under Fire is the second Nintendo Bond game from EA. However, the first one (The World Is Not Enough) was developed by Eurocom. The best information that can be found says that Agent Under Fire was developed by Electronics Arts. So we do not know if the specific development team that made this game has a name. So let's see what Bond had to offer.

I was looking forward to SpyHunter last year on the Playstation 2. However, in the end, it was very disappointing and did not live up to the expectations I had for it after playing it at E3. When I heard that Midway was teaming up with developer Point of View to port it over to the GameCube, I was hopeful that they might change up the game a little bit--correcting some of the problems in the PS2 version. Unfortunately, the final product ends up being worse than the PS2 original.

Five to ten years ago, I would've bet everything I own that the sun would burn out before the situation before us today would actually be true, and so would many others. Fortunately, we were wrong. As you're well aware, Sega is making games for Nintendo systems, and the anti-Mario is finally shaking hands and making peace. Sega was off to a pretty good start with Nintendo too, with Chu Chu Rocket, Super Monkey Ball, and Sonic Advance being excellent games. So now, the previously unimagined is a reality. Sonic is on GameCube in the form of a Dreamcast port of Sonic Adventure 2.

The thought of a Simpson's driving game is exciting to both gamer and fan alike. Who wouldn't want to cruise around the streets of Springfield with the Simpsons? Being a long time fan of the show, I'll admit to be one of the first people out there to grab this game. The game is very different than what I pictured but will not disappoint most players. The game follows the story of Mr. Burns seizing all the public transportation for his new breed of Nuclear Bus. The townspeople begin to compete against him by running their own cab businesses.

I love playing arcade games. I can spend my 50 cents, get a quick round of gaming excitement and leave satisfied. It seems that Sega really knows how to get me to pump quarters into their arcade titles too. Whether it is trucking in 18 Wheeler, racing against my wife in Episode One Racer or using the force in Star Wars Arcade, I always have a great time with Sega titles. However, if there is one Sega arcade title that is even more enjoyable than the above it would have to be Crazy Taxi.

This game would have been great if it came out 4 years ago. But it didn't and it has the look and feel of a game that was rush released to meet "demand" for a dying system. For those of you unfamiliar with how Dr. Mario works, here is a brief rundown of how the game works. There are "viruses" (colored dots with faces) in a "bottle" (the game screen). You have to take the multi colored "vitamins" that Dr. Mario gives you and line them up with the viruses so that 4 colors in a row line up, and the virus disappears.

SSX Tricky was part of my GameCube combo when I ordered it shortly before Christmas. I knew nothing about the game or its predecessor, SSX. Since then, it has been a constant stable on the GameCube diet for me and my friends. Many an hour has been spent on the slopes of the Garibaldi or Tokyo Megaplex in SSX Tricky.
