E3 2014 Predictions
First up, we will hear a lot about titles coming out in 2015. Unlike the current games that are cross generational, these titles coming out in 2015 will be for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only. This will begin the first initial phasing out of the old generation.
Third Parties will all choose the PC as the lead platform for their games.
One of the biggest pieces of news coming out of E3 2014 will be Sony dropping the price of the PlayStation 4, at the end of their Press Conference $20 to $50 just to show Microsoft that they won’t let them catch up this generation.
In addition to this, Sony will announce a PlayStation 4 and PS Vita combo pack to give new PlayStation owners the definitive experience.
Final Fantasy XV will be announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive when it releases in Holiday 2015. More details will be shown at Tokyo Game Show later this year.
Sony will finally give a release date to the Last Guardian and it will come out on PlayStation 4 holiday 2014.
Sony will announce that The Last of Us for the PlayStation 4 will be out in June.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will be announced as a timed exclusive for PlayStation 4 this fall.
Unlike last year where virtually all EA titles were exclusive to Microsoft, there will be no mention of exclusivity with the Redmond company.
EA will show Mass Effect 4 for the first time at their Monday Press Conference.
EA will also show off two titles in the Star Wars universe. One of them will be Star Wars Battlefront.
Ubisoft’s secret game is Assassin’s Creed 5 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Fallout 4 will be announced for Fall 2015 at the Microsoft Press Conference but nothing else will be shown.
For the Nintendo fans out there, Reggie will reveal that each copy of Super Smash Bros for the Wii U will include a free game similar to what was offered with Mario Kart 8.
A brand new Wii U Zelda will be shown before a Majora’s Mask remake is announced for the 3DS.
Nintendo will then transition to Metroid and announce a remake of Metroid 2: Return of Samus for the 3DS.
Miyamoto will talk about a new idea he has had and this will lead to him debuting a new IP for Nintendo Wii U for a fall release.
Star Fox for Wii U will be shown and it will take advantage of the gamepad in brand new, and exciting, ways.
