Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Standard Edition will run $39.99 and the Collector’s Edition will run $79.99. A 30 day trial will come with all new accounts and monthly subscriptions start at $12.99 for the MMO.
For those of you into online games but not monthly subscriptions, DayZ has some new things in the works over the next several months. There will be PVE content like camping, hunting, and base building. In addition, an improved stamina system is making its way into the game soon along with vehicles. For those of you who can’t wait, DayZ is available now as a standalone title on Steam Early Access. The title is expected to carry the Alpha Tag through most of 2014.
Ruh-roh. Another day, another next-generation title. With it comes fears over the Xbox One version underperforming compared to the PlayStation 4. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is running at a speedy 60 frames per second in glorious 1080P resolution on the PS4. The Xbox One… well, not so much.
Square-Enix has started that the goal is to get the Xbox One version running at 1080P at 30 frames per second. Microsoft’s Albert Penello defends the Xbox One by saying the differences in the two versions of Tomb Raider are very minor. I am sorry, but 30 frames difference is pretty major Mr. Penello. It looks like players will want to stick with the PS4 version for this one.
Mojang has announced that after a month on the PlayStation 3 platform, they have sold one million copies of Minecraft via PSN. That puts the PC and Console Versions of Minecrafter at over 22 million copies sold. This doesn’t include the mobile version of the game. Minecraft creator, Notch, has said there are no plans to bring the game to Nintendo’s Wii U platform.
iOS users can now enjoy the 1995 Super Nintendo hit RPG Tales of Phantasia as a Free to Play game with plenty of microtransactions in it. The game has a pretty high difficulty level and this is where Namco hopes to “cash in” by getting players to purchase stat boosts and items to restore health
Fans of the franchise may just want to take a trip down memory lane and relive the roots of the Tales series.
