As everyone who knows me can tell you, I'm not the biggest stick and puck fan in the world. But I do know a thing or two about it. I do know I can tell you if a game is good enough for you to consider playing or not. And folks I can honestly tell you, you need to give this game a try once it's released.

I wasn't expecting anything when I picked up the controller and started to mess with this game, but after seeing what it can do at such an early state I was pleased.

With On-the-fly coaching, you can play your style of hockey on both sides of the ice by calling your team's strategy during the action. You can crash the net, screen the goalie and you can counter an attack by clearing out the crease or a multitude of other strategies.

There are hundreds of completely new NHL quality animations including goaltending, checking, shooting, and passing--bringing you the most authentic on ice action to date.

I found this interesting. In your franchise, your team's success is hinged on your ability to schedule workouts, scrimmages and your ability to manage team chemistry.

Last and not least, we can't forget about the online play. You have completely online stat tracking, buddy management and online leagues.

Keep it locked to for more information on this game as it's released
