Our favorite Australian feline is back in his third and biggest adventure yet. This time, TY has single handedly (and inadvertently) brought about the impending destruction of the earth. In the process of banishing a race of enemies from Dreamtime world, he led them straight to the place that TY loves the most- the Outback. So, of course, if you break, you buy, and TY paid for this trouble with his own sweat.
TY determines that he must get his posse (The Bush Rescue team) together to take care of this new enemy, known as the Quinkin. The Quinkin have enslaved everyone in the outback. To fight this enemy, TY must have a new weapon. This time, you can make your own boomerang by using Bunyip Stones. The stones have characteristics of Fire, Ice, and Lightning and depending on how you combine them, will make your very personal boomerang. TY can also fly in the Gunyip flyer or use the Crabmersible to travel on land. These vehicles also double as weapons that have lasers, missles, and in the case of the Crabmersible, claws that crush anything in its path.
TY will play in the platformer fashion. In addition to the aforementioned land cruiser and plane modes, TY will revisit the racing mode introduced in Bush Rescue. It will also employ the Living Environment Technology System to enhance the seamless game world.
As platformers go, TY the Tasmanian Tiger is not one of the more popular series. However, with the new customizable boomerang, all the new vehicles, the different modes of play and tons of weapons to blow up plenty of enemies, TY 3 should be a great addition to a family of games that safe for younger gamers and fun enough to entice even the most jaded players.
