E3 2011 Mercury Hg

Developer: UTV | Publisher: Ignition
Players: 1+ Player Game | Genre: Puzzle
Release Date: 8.2011

Archer Maclean’s Mercury was one of the first games I fondly remember playing on my PSP that wasn’t part of the original launch. The game later got a sequel that wasn’t quite as good and the series has sat dormant... until now.

Mercury is a puzzle where you take a blob of the aptly named substance substance into an area at the finish in the shortest amount of time possible. There are several variations with different colored Mercury and the new Mercury HG continues this tradition.

Mercury HG, like the previous entries in the series, requires you to move the game board to move the Mercury around. After the first few levels, you will have to split up the Mercury, changing the pieces into different colors by going through color stations, and bringing them to the finish line.

Ignition is promising 60 levels in this PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade Puzzle title and new features. For example, if you split up your Mercury, the players can hit a button and reunite the split pieces for the cost of adding more time on the clock.

Players can expect a lot of good, clean fun in this puzzle game when it hits digital shelves this August.
