The Walking Dead S2 Ep 3 Review
Players: 1 Player Game | Release Date: 05/13/14 | Genre: Adventure
Episode 3, In Harm’s Way, picks up right where Episode 2 left off. You are with your new group of survivors and are taken away to be prisoners forced to work in a much larger camp in a strip mall. This episode also brings characters from the 400 Days DLC in the game in a much larger role. Finally, the other big star of this episode is a madman who runs the camp.
There are many tense moments in this episode as Clementine has to sneak around quite a bit and she is put into some pretty sticky situations where she may or may not make it out unscathed. There will be blood this episode and the group will not make it out the same as they entered.
It is interesting to note that Clementine is relied upon in almost every situation. Sure, the game wouldn’t be fun if you played a different role but for Pete’s sake she is just a kid. I find it hard to believe that she would actually be called upon to do the things she is asked to do in real life. Of course, a Zombie apocalypse would have to occur first if we are comparing this to real life.
While TellTale likes to leave fans hanging with a cliffhanger at the end of each episode, they went out of their ways to make things quite uncomfortable this time around. The episode leaves me just begging for the next episode to find its way on my Steam account right now! Sadly, it will probably be a few months until we get episode 4 and find out what happens. I won’t spoil it for you except to say you will be angry the episode ends.
Episode 3, In Harm’s Way, is the first time this season I can say I am really enjoying the series. It hasn’t been particularly bad but just not as good as Season 1. Hopefully from this point forward, that changes. Buy the season, play the episode, and lets wait for episode 4!
