Call of Duty: Black Ops III

Developer: Treyarch | Publisher: Activision
Players: 1+ Player Game | Genre: FPS

Release Date: 11/06/15

So, back in the Black Ops universe, we find ourselves in the year 2060--our previous adversary, Raul Menendez is a figure of the past, but has been a big part of shaping the way combat is, in the current time. Thanks to the hijacking of U.S. military drones by Menendez, the U.S., in order to guarantee that the incident would never occur again, was forced to create an umbrella air defense system--DEADS.

With the addition of the new defense system, the focus of combat has shifted back to ‘boots on the ground,’ which has caused the need for advancements of the soldier himself, which has led to both fully cybernetic soldiers, as well as soldiers with augmentations--using a technology they have branded Direct Neural Interface (DNI). The role you take on, in Black Ops 3, is that of one of these augmented soldiers, that has been called upon to help in the investigation of the disappearance of a CIA team in Singapore--shortly after this disappearance, is discovered, the largest military information leak in history.

This time around, rather than only running through the campaign on our own, we’re given the choice to play offline, by ourselves, split screen, with two player, or online, with up to four players, cooperatively. With being made with these options available, playing by oneself will definitely prove difficult--so, for those of you that are always looking for a bigger challenge, you may just have gotten your wish.

That’s of what we’ve gotten on the single player, but, so far--it looks like it may well be something to keep watching.
