N3: Nightly News Narration - Capcom, Borderlands, amiibo, & More

Capcom kicks off the planned DLC for Monster Hunter with future installments of DLC coming on Fridays. They supported Monster Hunter 3 with plenty of free DLC and it is nice to see this continue. For the first planned DLC of the year, for MH4, players can expect to find a Link Costume with bow, shield, sword, and armor pieces. In addition, there will be new weapons and a quest called Clockwork Contraption. The only thing negative I can say about this is the servers have been down all weekend when I tried to download the DLC. After much persistence, I was able to download the Link portion of the DLC. Hopefully Capcom will get the servers figured out so all can download some fun items and quests for their game.

We have been waiting since before Thanksgiving for the next installment of Tales from Borderlands to come out. TellTale Games may know a lot about episodic gaming but over 3 months between episodes? This is borderline ridiculous! If they were not ready to release these episodes any faster, the series should have been delayed. Don’t get me wrong, I love this series. In fact, it got one of our Best Games of E3 last year. Just don’t make us wait 3 months for episode 3, k?

The Best Buy Gamer’s Club Unlocked has seen a massive price drop down to $30 after a trial of that price proved successful. This program allows for New Games and Accessories at 10% off and Used Games at 20% off. Seems like a pretty good deal. They aren’t sponsoring this but I may check it out myself!

DriveClub is talking about its March expansion update on the PlayStation 4 and it doesn’t include the promised PlayStation Plus Version. Seriously guys? How can you continue to put out and update a product without fulfilling the first promise you made? This game is a disaster and joke and I recommend you stay far, far away just for their lies alone!

During GDC 2015, we learned about the upcoming “re-imagination” of the Ratchet and Clank franchise. Insomniac Games will be Developing the title and it is being called amazing to look at on the PS4 with shiny, stunning, and beautiful graphics that will rival a Pixar production. The studio may be interested to pursue Resistance 4 sometime in the near future too though a sequel to Sunset Overdrive could happen first. While we aren’t real sure what E3 2015 will have in store for us, we definitely feel that a new Ratchet and Clank will show up there and is being readied for a Fall 2015 release. This could be the second high-profile year in a row for Insomniac Games.

With Microsoft’s renewed focus on Windows gaming with the upcoming Windows 10, many of you have been concerned that they will want to incorporate, and charge for, Xbox Live on the PC. Major Nelson has thankfully put all rumors to rest that this will happen and says they are not going to charge for Xbox Live for Windows. Good news for all PC players!

South African retailer Rarurecently listed a new wave of unannounced amiibo. Jigglypuff, Greninja, Splatoon Boy, Splatoon Girl and Splatoon Squid have all been listed, with a release date of May 29th. If this is true, we may soon see Splatoon joining the amiibo craze though Nintendo is remaining silent about it right now.

I leave you with the new Super Girl costume.  It is definitely dark and doesn’t show off the body of the actress. I will stay optimistic for the production of this show on CBS which should appear later this fall.
