World of Warships First Look

Developer: Wargaming.net & Lesta Studio | Publisher: Wargaming.net
Players: 1+ Player Game | Genre: Action

Release Date: TBD

Following their already awesome lineup of games, Wargaming.net has been working on another title, World of Warships, that brings just as much amazing detail to the table as it’s predecessors. At E3 2014, I was to get a glimpse at a bit of gameplay, and even at this stage of it’s development, it looks very crisp. The number of ships that they have already put into the game is staggering--each and every one of them digitally replicated with precise detail.

With four different classes of ships to choose from, each with their own unique attributes, there are plenty of different ways to play. These four classes of ships are the Cruiser, which is a fast ship, good primarily for reconnaissance, the Destroyer, a very tanky ship able to withstand any other ship on the seas, the Battleship, a heavily armed ship able to dish out more pain than any other class of ship, and the Aircraft Carrier, which aids it’s allies with long range air support.

Though the warships themselves are amazingly impressive, the seascapes that battles take place on pretty impressive as well. From what I’ve seen, the maps are set up very well for many many different possible tactical strategies--plenty of different positions to flank the enemy from, or back up your allies from.

As with the two previous titles that Wargaming.net has released, your account, as well as free experience, and premium account status will be shared across to World of Warships as well. All and all, from what I’ve seen so far, this game is definitely something to check out, and at least give a try!
